“IWT is organized as a forum for individuals interested in woodturning. The primary purposes of IWT are consistent with the fundamental purposes of AAW, “to provide Information, Education and organization to those interested in turning wood.” The membership is drawn from Independence, MO and surrounding areas, but is not limited to Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri.”
From the President,
It is the holiday season already. I would like to thank all the Officer’s who have done an excellent job moving the club along this year. I felt as a club, we tried some new ideas and learned a lot along the way. I especially would like to thank all the members who have supported this club throughout this year and all the past years. Without you there would be no club.
In the coming year I hope to continue this movement in making this club responsive to the member’s needs. I hope we can continue to grow the open shop on Saturday’s to help the members in turning. If there a demo’s you would like to see let us know what you are interested in watching. In the coming year we already have planned an off-site demonstration of turning during a festival in April. I am sure we will have the pen turning at Camp for the kids again this year. This is a great experience to see the kids turn pens. The Officers have discussed having a picnic there at Metro for one of the meetings with a pen turn-off competition. So, this should be an interesting year.
See everyone at the next Open Shop
